We’re Almost There

Adoption Featured Our Adoption Story

I’ve said it many times before—adoption is the most incredible journey of faith I could ever imagine. It causes your spirit to soar to unbelievable heights and simultaneously brings you to your knees like nothing else.

Joel and I are in on the final leg of our journey to our boys. Lord willing, we are weeks away from holding them in our arms. We expect to travel sometime in June or July to get them from Uganda. Most days, I am close to jumping out of my skin with anticipation. I find it hard to do anything besides think of them.

If you’ve been following our story, you know that we have had many twists and turns along the way. We originally planned to adopt only one child, but God blessed us with two boys, Moses, age 3, and Jonah, almost a year old. We are overwhelmed with God’s bountiful blessings poured out on our family.

Several weeks ago, we also found out that Jonah has Sickle Cell Anemia, a very serious blood disorder. Another twist, but God has given us incredible medical resources in our area that will help us care for him. Again, we are blessed by God’s provision.

As we prepare to travel we are now faced with another twist, an obstacle really. The addition of a second child and the added cost of traveling during high tourist season means that the funds we raised earlier this year are not enough to cover our expenses.

Bottom line: We need an additional $9200 to do bring Moses and Jonah home this summer.

At the urging of others and with great humility, we come to you, our family and friends, and ask you to partner with us financially one more time to help bring these precious boys home to their forever family.

Here’s How You Can Help

We need:

368 people to give $25 = $9200

184 people to give $50 = $9200

92 people to give $100 = $9200

62 people to give $150 = $9200

37 people to give $250 = $9200

19 people to give $500 = $9200

13 people to give $750 = $9200

10 people to give $920 = $9200

It is incredibly hard to ask you all again, especially those of you who have given so generously already, but God is calling us to step out in faith and watch him provide.

Please know if you are unable to give we completely understand. Your prayers and encouragement mean more than you know.

However, if you are able to give, simply CLICK HERE to make a gift through our online fundraising page. All gifts are made through Lifesong for Orphans and are tax-deductible.

By God’s grace and with your help, we will be able to celebrate the homecoming of our boys very soon. Thank you for your part in our story God is writing in and through our family. Truly, we could never say thank you enough.

In the event that we have any unused funds, they will be made available to other adopting families in the form of adoption grants through Lifesong for Orphans.
